Kineo Kuwabara

Kineo Kuwabara (1913-2007) was an important Japanese photographer of the Showa era. Born in Tokyo, he was renowned for documenting urban life. He shared a "mentor-disciple" relationship with Nobuyoshi Araki, and the two once held a famous joint exhibition. We were fortunate enough to acquire Kineo Kuwabara's personal belongings, including his original photographs, manuscripts, letters, a fountain pen, a lighter, and correspondence from photographers.
